Counter Fraud Claims Handler
Location: Manchester City Centre

Our client are one of the fastest growing insurers in the UK, a Norwegian based company who expanded to the UK in 2015 and have grown rapidly in the last 7 years. With rapid growth comes great opportunity for the right people and they have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Counter Fraud Claims Handler to join their team at their stunning head office in Manchester City Centre.
The Opportunity:
As Counter Fraud Claims Handler, you will primarily be expected to proactively screen and investigate a portfolio of motor, liability and property claims suspected of being fraudulent or having elements of exaggeration. The type of claims will vary from straight forward whiplash type injuries to credit hire fraud, trips, slips and property damage claims.
Motor fraud claims will include LVI, claims farming, phantom passengers, staged/induced accidents with a strong focus on third party damage and credit hire fraud. Liability claims will be a mixed bag contrived liability claims ranging from highways injuries to staged employee claims.
The role will also involve utilising various desktop tools (CRIF, MIAFTR) as well as various internet and database checks to assist with claimant profiling and to determine the direction of the investigation.

Skills and Experience Required:

- Proven motor fraud experience is essential, with credit hire and vehicle damage knowledge from an insurance company background and defendant perspective will be preferred.
- Experience and knowledge within Property or Liability is also advantageous though not essential.
- Able to assess evidence quickly and proactively drive investigations to achieve the correct outcome.
- Excellent communication skills, being confident liaising with investigators and panel solicitors daily as well as probing and questioning information submitted.
- Be extremely organised and have a strong analytical mindset.
