We are looking for a **Student Services Assistant**. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT / **Broadwater School** and become an integral member of the Pastoral team.

Main responsibilities:

- Support vulnerable students as directed and comply with all safeguarding measures. Triage incidents according to protocol.
- Administer First Aid to students and staff.
- Actively promote positive mental health.
- Administer prescribed medication for students who have medical conditions and comply with legal record keeping.
- Report and keep accurate accidents records for pupils and staff. Assist with keeping the medical room well stocked.
- Assist with the arranging and planning of students’ school vaccinations with external professionals, assist with timetabling in dates and informing parents.
- Assist with organising staff First Aid training and training from specialist nurses / organisations diabetes/ epilepsy/ allergies etc.
- Check school defibrillators and school grab bag on a monthly basis.

You will need:

- GCSE English and Maths A*-C (or equivalent)
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work constructively as an individual and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to plan, organise and prioritise effectively Proven IT skills
