Staff365 are recruiting for an experienced EHS Co-ordinator to join our clients existing team and be part of a well-respected global brand.

Salary Circa £40,000 depending on Experience and Qualifications

This is a Hybrid role with 2 days of working from home available.

38 days Holiday including bank holidays

Monday - Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-15:30

Flexi time working available with the core business hours of work being 09:30 - 15:00

**Overview of the Role**:
Responsible to the effective development, implementation and compliance of environmental and health & safety processes, products and legislation on site in line with the company standards. Implement and monitor the environmental management system; take part in the implementation of environmentally friendly processes; support supervisors in issues involving environmental protection; carry out and monitor in-house and legally required inspections, and audits.

**Main Duties/Responsibilities**:
Responsible for co-ordinating Health, Safety & Environment on site. Maintain communication with relevant bodies with regards to Health, Safety & Environment compliance.

Advise all levels and functions on site on any ad hoc issues arising from and regarding Health, Safety, Environment and Welfare and take proactive measures where appropriate.

Maintain necessary documentation and controlling documents for the required time periods e.g. accident report; EMAS statements.

Waste Management control including all hazard waste consignments.

Liaise with the Occupational Health Nurse in relation to matters arising and react proactively in maintaining and promoting employee health and wellbeing.

Adhoc and monthly reporting on aspects such as business performance in relation to Health, Safety and Environment on site in a timely manner.

**Skills/Experience Required**:
Educated to HND/Degree level; Automotive/Mechanical Engineering; Health, Safety and Environment qualification.

Background within medium/high volume manufacturing/engineering environment

Approximately 2-3 years’ experience is needed to perform the job at a competent level.

Proven experience of managing & influencing People/Division.

Experience of working in a multi-site environment (desirable).

Highly experienced in working under own initiative, demonstrating an ability to set & meet personal targets, combined with the flexibility to adjust to workload priorities to take account of new deadlines.

Interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to customer service.

Awareness of wider Company issues and relevant legislation. Required to keep informed of changes in legislation and departmental policy to deliver correct advice.

Able to read engineering drawings

Ability to organise and prioritise workload, maintain confidentiality, and produce/process documents accurately.
