**Releasing Potential is a registered charity and an independent special school, for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, established in 2017 and is growing.**

Responsibilities will include working effectively with the chair of governors, headteacher and other governors to secure the continuity of governing board business. An understanding of confidentiality is essential for this role.

Tasks include the preparation and circulation of papers, attendance at meetings (including some evenings) and minute taking; maintaining a business calendar, including policy reviews.
- Providing advice to governors on their legal and procedural duties.
- providing legislative updates that prompt the governing body to take appropriate action where required
- collating and distributing agendas and associated documents for governor meetings
- ensuring that the governing body is properly constituted
- attending governors’ meetings - usually in the evening - and creating accurate and relevant minutes
- providing effective administrative support to the governing body and its committees
- providing procedural, regulatory, and governance advice to governing bodies as and when appropriate

Hours of work: 20 - 40 per term

**Salary**: £24,174 pro rata

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
