**Communications Officer**

**Location**:Hybrid (1-2 days from Glasgow)

**As a Communications Officer your main responsibilities would be**:

- Assisting in the design, production and dissemination of all communications with UKSV’s stakeholders including both external and internal communications.
- Attending relevant meetings, liaising with colleagues across UKSV and identifying key messages for communications.
- Creating compelling content and publishing via the most appropriate channel.
- Scope, write, edit and publish a range of articles to be included in the external and internal newsletters produced by UKSV.
- Ensuring all content is accessible, usable and accurate.
- Leading on the execution of the Communications and Engagement strategy to ensure that UKSV’s communication and engagement aims and ambitions are met.
- Working to ensure that key internal and external stakeholders are engaged with the business transformation programme and fully understand its key aims and objectives.
- Providing dynamic content for UKSV’s gov.uk site and internal online hub and implementing improvements to these.
- Developing the UKSV digital strategy and advising on new channels and products for communications to embrace online, digital and social media communications.
- Working with the broader customer services team to address the perceptions of vetting more broadly to ensure the broad appeal of roles which require security clearances.

**You’ll have relevant experience in**:

- SC cleared (Desirable)
- Experience of writing, editing and producing written communications for targeted audiences.
- Experience of setting and working with branding guidelines.
- Experience of digital communication strategies.
- Advanced communication and collaboration skills across a range of audiences.
- Relationship management skills to facilitate the buy-in and progress of the communications strategy across all customers involved.
- Ability to manage a diverse workload, and to deliver to tight deadlines
