Do you love working with children? We have an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic established private care team. The role is working with an 8-year-old girl, who has complex needs due to cerebral palsy and is a full-time wheelchair user. She is a happy child who enjoys varied activities which include music, singing, reading books and playing in the garden. The child is non verbal and needs assistance with all activities. She also enjoys going out on her trike and trampolining (rebound therapy) with support. You will support the child in their own home and out in the community to enjoy and engage in activities and support with personal care needs, completing her daily routines.

The child is part of a young energetic and sporty family, she has two younger siblings, who love to play with their older sister. The family live in a new build, fully wheelchair accessible property with all moving and handling equipment in place. There would be the opportunity to join the family on regular holidays, travel abroad and enjoy fun activities, for which you will receive a working-away bonus payment.

The post offers the opportunity to develop your skills and undertake personal development/training in the care of a child with complex needs. We are looking for a compassionate and caring individual, who wants to make a difference in their work. Who has a sense of fun and enjoys fully engaging with children to develop their skills.

Closing date - 18th April

Interviews will be week commencing 22nd April and 29th April
- **Experience**
- Experience being round children or working with children in a health and social care setting in the community is required.

**Role**
- This role is working directly with a family to provide care for their child who has cerebral palsy.
- There will be a requirement to carry out clinical and therapeutic tasks such as suctioning, moving and handling and a stretching programme.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time

Shift:

- Day shift core hours 4pm to 8pm on some weekdays and 8 hours on some weekend days
- Night shift 7 nights per week (waking) 10pm to 9.15am

**Experience**:

- social care: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)

Female PA required due to child’s level of personal care needs and requirements
