Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within ENABLE Scotland by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

You will be required to work on a rota system. The rota usually works as follows -:
you will be required to work Fri, Sat, & SUN one week, Wed & Thurs the following week & Mon & Tue the following week

Sunday 10pm start - Finish Monday - 8:30am

Monday night - Sunday morning 10pm start - 7am

The rota may change to suit the needs of the services but notice will be given.

You will work with a canary system & a phone (Training will be given )

This service is a waken night shift.

You will be responsible for 7houses within a small scheme.

Most of the people we support sleep through out the night but there may be occasions when you will need to respond and support with some personal care.

You will be required to do welfare checks at 1am, 3am & 5am to a young man who wears a C-Pap mask. This is just to make sure he is wearing the mask and replace if it is off. You will do visual checks on the other houses to make sure lights blinds and windows are all closed
