The Royal Free London Hospital is a national specialist centre designated by NHS England (NHSE) for the diagnosis and management of patients with Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSD). We are looking for a full-time Patient Navigator to be based at The Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead site.

Lysosomal Disorders services in England are NHS England (NHSE) designated Highly Specialised Services, with 5 adult and 3 paediatric centres. The Royal Free Hospital Lysosomal Disorders Unit (RFH LSDU) was one of the first adult centres to be nationally designated, initially in 1996 for Gaucher Disease only, and subsequently in 2003 for all lysosomal disorders.

The RFH LSDU is currently the largest adult LSD centre, with the only comparable centre based at Salford. The RFH LSDU has grown ten-fold over the last 15 years.

Over the past 5 years, several developments have been implemented at the Royal Free Hospital to modernise and streamline the services.

An opportunity has arisen for a full time Clinical Pathway Navigator to join the Lysosomal Storage Disorders Unit.

We are looking for a confident, positive and enthusiastic individual and a team player with an eye for detail to undertake this role.

We work together with clinicians, clinical nurse specialists (CNS) other departments to deliver an excellent service at all times.
- Provide admin support including assisting in clinics.
- Booking new and follow/Up appointments
- Previous experience of working with the public and/or patients in a healthcare environment
- Interacting with staff at all levels
- Manage and prioritising own workload and working to deadlines
- Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems

We are looking for someone who works well under pressure and enjoys working with people. Someone with excellent communication and customer services skills. It is essential that the post holder has IT skills. Knowledge of the hospital Cerner and EPR system would be desirable, however, appropriate training will be given.
