Band 4 Clinical Assessment Service Navigator

London, United Kingdom Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are looking for an individual to join the Urology Department to manage and maintain general urology diagnostic pathways.

The role of the Urology CAS / Pathway Navigator is to work as part of the Urology team here at the Royal Free London Sites to ensure that all administrative functions for patients from the time of GP referral to the time of discharge are coordinated in line with specific care pathway instructions to facilitate the smooth running of the patients’ journey.

The post holder will be required to lead on the Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) pathway for benign pathways. CAS allows an in depth triage of patients so that all diagnostics are requested prior to their first appointment. This allows decisions to be made at the patient’s first outpatient appointment, ultimately reducing their wait time to first treatment. Where a patient has multiple specialist needs, the Patient Pathway Navigator will assist the patient in coordinating their pathways to reduce multiple appointments across the Trust.

An opportunity has arisen for a full time Clinical Pathway Navigator to join the Urology department.

We are looking for a positive and motivated person with an eye for detail to join our team.
- Previous experience of working with the public and/or patients in a healthcare environment
- Experience of interacting with staff at all levels
- Previous administrative and organisational experience
- Experience of managing and prioritising own workload and working to deadlines
- Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems
