**We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Nursing Associate to join our Pre-Assessment Unit at The London Clinic. This post is located at our main hospital site in London, and we are offering a competitive inclusive salary range of £30,615 - £36,789 per annum.**

Our pre-assessment service is a nurse-led clinic and plays an important part in the preparation for our patients surgery. Our team work across numerous specialities including, orthopaedics/spinal, upper GI, colorectal, gynaecology, bariatrics, ENT and oral maxillofacial. Our goal is to establish best practice in the Clinic, implementation, ongoing delivery and continuous service improvement, using an innovative and pioneering approach.

**Job Profile**

As a Nursing Associate, you will be responsible for delivering high quality, patient-centred, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, with a focus on promoting health and independence.
- Job Location: This role is located at The London Clinic’s main hospital site in London, W1G 6BW (Close to Regents Park & Baker Street tube stations).
- Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Saturday.
- Shifts: Service runs from 8am to 7pm; Shift Rotation - 3x Long days & 1x Short day p/week, including alternative Saturday shifts.
- Salary: The attractive salary range for this role is **£30,615 - £36,789 **per annum.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual in keeping with: The NMC code of conduct, the clinic policies and procedures, and the philosophies of the clinic and department
- Be responsible for the delivery of evidence-based care implementing change and relevant organisational processes to improve quality.
- Responsible for undertaking identified competencies and clinical care tasks under the indirect supervision of a registered nurse.
- Be able to work independently under the leadership of Registered Nurses delivering care in line with the individual’s defined plan of care, using the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role, accessing clinical and care advice when needed.
- Adhere to the NMC Code and Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates.

**Skills & Experience**
- Experience of working as Registered Nursing Associate (newly qualified or experienced) in acute healthcare settings and teams under appropriate supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Post registration surgical or medical experience with experience working within a Pre-Assessment area and/or inpatient ward setting.
- Good clinical skills including cannulation, venepuncture, ECG taking
- Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills, and an individual who is energetic, proactive and driven to succeed.
- Experience of customer care, and can demonstrate high standards of clinical practice with the ability to prioritise own workload effectively and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
