We are currently working with a fantastic authority that is looking for an Interim BUSINESS ANALYST

Job Summary

This role sits within the HR Systems & Data Team and will work with our HR, Payroll, and Pensions teams to document "as is" and "to be" business process and workflows, identifying systems intersections, and agreeing with key stakeholders the roles and responsibilitieswithin the "to be" processes.

What you’ll do
- Investigate operational and business needs and problems with existing processes, and provide recommendations for service improvement and business solutions
- Lead and participate in requirements gathering workshops, coordinating with various teams to produce impact analysis documents
- Analyse and document both current and new business processes, identifying the needs and responsibilities of users through various techniques including interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, product analysis, and workflow analysis, focusinginitially on the Pensions Auto Enrolment processes
- Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability
- Document end to end functional requirements for any systemic changes identified in the "to be" processes
- Share your experience of what good user journeys are, and shape the high-level design of new workflows
- Create a foundational document library of agreed business processes and workflows
- Work alongside the Systems and Data Analysts supporting other change activities, and shaping the change framework
- Be involved in systems solution requirements gathering and testing

About you
- You have strong functional experience working with MS Office suite, including advanced Visio or other process mapping tools, with the ability to learn new systems and tools
- You have experience planning and facilitating workshops
- You work independently, manage your own time, and you’re also a team player who works collaboratively too
- You’re detail orientated, and demonstrate a passion for process optimisation and continuous improvement
- You have excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- You’re both willing and able to flex your communication style to your audience and have strong written and verbal communication skills - you’re able to interact and report you findings to senior management
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity, have a growth mind-set, and you’re able to multi-task
