**Role Summary**
An opportunity has become available due to business growth for a Materials Controller. This role will be based in Gainsborough on a permanent basis.
This role will oversee various aspects of the materials management process, goods inwards, inventory management, and logistics. They should be responsible for coordinating the movement of materials throughout the entire operations - upstream and down. Other aspects such as optimising stock levels and ensuring timely delivery to meet production or project requirements.
**Role responsibilities**:
- Receiving, and inspecting deliveries of materials and booking deliveries into the in-house MRP system.
- Coordinate movement of materials between departments and liaise with Production/Procurement team
- Report & manage stock levels of materials/consumables
- To perform regular physical counts of material inventories and monitor against system
- Preparing goods for dispatch
- Producing supply chain reports and creating records of materials storage/movement
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and system to minimise loss or damage and to ensure material traceability
- Review all released jobs shortages and review against planned deliveries
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Actively participate in annual stock take activities
- Assisting the supply chain department with expediting and any other tasks as required
**Key capabilities & skills**:
- FLT license desirable but not essential
- Full range of computer skills required with knowledge of excel essential
- High level of attention to detail
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- Confidence to liaise with suppliers and internal personnel at all levels
- Able to work within a team environment
