Air Control Industries Ltd is an established and successful engineering business based in Axminster, East Devon.

Working as part of a small team and reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will assist with all areas of the Purchasing department. Experience of working in a similar role, particularly within a manufacturing and/or engineering environment, would be advantageous, but consideration will be given to applicants with relevant experience. Full training will be given.

**The main duties are**:

- Managing a small portfolio of suppliers, of which a good business relationship should be developed
- Purchase order management
- Resourcing projects as required, such as identifying, researching and approving new suppliers
- Maintaining accurate records for supplier-related performance, price movements and quality standards
- Working alongside the existing team and helping where necessary

**The position would suit someone with**:

- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to show initiative and ask questions to challenge things
- Experience of writing or editing procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and be flexible in approach
- Good understanding of computer systems, particularly Excel
- Highly analytical and methodical skills, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail
- Willingness to learn, and interest in developing themselves through a professional CIPS or IoSCM qualification in the future
