Manchester, United Kingdom Fountasia Ltd Full time

**Northern Merchandiser**

Remote / On the Road

**Salary**: £28,000 - £30,000 (DOE) + competitive commission structure

**The Company**

Fountasia is a third-generation independent family business based in Kent that has been bringing the magic of ‘first to market’ innovative products to garden centres and sector specialists for more than 30 years.

Fountasia always captures the interest of our audience by regularly rolling out new ranges such as Christmas, Home and Garden products and Toys and this year (amongst a thousand new products) we introduced an extensive premium pet range to our already diverse portfolio.

**The Role**

As a Merchandiser, your main responsibility is to travel to our customer base of garden centres, independent retailers, gift, toy and pet shops to ensure our products look appealing to customers.

You will be compiling stock lists and inventory for products and dealing with purchase ‘top up’ orders. Optimum sales depend on the location and appearance of displays and how you fill or arrange our products on it.

There will be a huge element of customer service (building rapport) involved as you will be the ‘Face of Fountasia’ so experience in a customer service / merchandising role where you have gained great communication skills is essential.

You will be working closely with our Area Sales Managers who will be on hand to support and guide you until you are fully comfortable and confident. We are a growing, innovative business and there will always be progression opportunities for the right individual.

**About You**

We would love to see CV's from people that are:

- Experienced in a merchandising, sales or customer service role with a genuine interest and passion for our products
- Creative with an ability to spot opportunities
- Well-organised and self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
- Determined to achieve and excel.
- Full UK Driving license
- Quick to act and adaptable
- Confident communicators, both with customers and internal teams
- Able to plan and prioritise with the skillset to accommodate change
- Good with numbers and IT, especially in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

If you're enthusiastic about sales, are driven to progress and are looking for the potential of making a real impact within a company, we want to hear from you
