NC Associates are working with a long established and reputable manufacturing organisation based in Nelson Burnley to help assist them recruiting a Project Accountant to work very closely with the senior management team. As a Project Accountant you willbe responsible for the overall financial control, accounting and reporting of all commercial projects. This role will work closely with the senior management team as well as the Finance Business Partner to help drive profitability and sales through successfulcommercial management of projects.

**Duties**
- Prepare monthly gross margin reports to include actuals and forecasts and provide commentary to key variances
- Maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations and entries related POC accounting on projects (Unbilled/Deferred Revenue and Deferred Cost, Cost Provisions)
- Provide appropriate documentation to support project accounting on a monthly basis for audit review
- Prepare financial project Status Reports for all projects vs. the bid, including Project To Date, Periodic and Final Forecast Rev/Cost/ Margins and Cashflow analysis.
- Provide financial support to Project Managers at the monthly review meetings with directors identifying key opportunities and mitigate any risks
- Provide commentary into the Cashflow on a weekly basis

**Essential Experience Required**
- Minimum of 4 years of Project Cost Accounting work experience
- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Experience utilizing cost management methodologies, activities, and cost pools based on direct and indirect cost rates
- Strong analytical thinking and a detail-oriented mindset
- Project Accounting & Contracts experience is essential
- Forecasting experience
- Advanced user of Excel including Pivot Tables is essential
