**Your Contribution**

Working as a key leader of the mill management team, the Shift Manager is someone who controls plant operations to ensure the manufacture of products follows quality, planning and safety standards to support a more sustainable agriculture system.

**How you will help**:

- People Management _
- Organise, plan and coordinate the activities of production staff
- Recruit and induct staff
- Lead, train and coach production staff
- Ensure effective performance and compliance with rules
- Manage attendance
- Ensure a positive culture
- On Time & In Full production line activities _
- Deliver Production Schedule
- Oversee schedules of raw materials
- Ensure compliance to standards
- Oversee Plant Efficiency
- Produce top quality products
- Keeping the house in order:_
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Lead by example and ensure others follow the rules
- Manage basic testing and quality checks
- See it & Say It_
- Report and document overall shift actions
- Contribute to management and audit reporting
- Provide overall shift direction and performance feedback
- Ask and encourage others to ask questions
- Lead on continuous improvement efforts

**What you need to do the job**:
**Essential**:

- 1 Years relevant experience
- Operating computerized systems
- Production or Mill environment
- Acting as a coach or leader
- Delivering to a production plan
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to give and follow instructions.
- Excellent numerical skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Action and continuous improvement orientated
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as within a team
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge and understanding of food product, storage and rotation
- Health & Safety Accreditation
- A Forklift Licence (Counterbalance &/or Reach)
