Nottingham, United Kingdom Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We have secured funding for a place on an Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) course with a start date of January 2024 and are looking to offer this as a Trainee ACP post to work within the CAMHS Crisis Team with a key role in supporting young people with Learning Disabilities and Autism who are experiencing mental health crisis.

The post will be based in the Nottinghamshire CAMHS crisis team providing services across Nottinghamshire and will require the post holder to undertake an MSc with a pre-selected Higher Educational Institute course over three years. This can also include placements and clinical work within community, specialist and inpatient CAMHS, community paediatrics, IDD services, and the children’s disability team within social care.

The post is a training post for a three-year period however, on successful completion of the course, you will transfer into a permanent Advanced Clinical Practitioner post within the CAMHS Crisis team.

This is one of 6 Trainee ACP posts across the Learning Disability and Autism pathway and will be joining 6 previously recruited trainee's within the Nottinghamshire system including another CAMHS post holder.

To provide advanced assessment, formulation and practice skills in relation to young people with learning disabilities and/ or Autism.

Due to the team working 24/7 there is an expectation of working across the rota period. We are aware that early mornings, evenings and weekends can be particularly challenging for this patient population so support outside of 'office' hours is required

You will be a senior clinician and leader in the team working closely alongside MDT colleagues.

You will be experienced and skilled at working with young people with learning disabilities and/ or autism and be competent to work at an advanced level with an independent caseload.

You will be expected to offer leadership on the elements of clinical care within the team for learning disabilities and autism and offer training in this area to the team and other internal and external colleagues.
