Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) is the principal provider of community-based healthcare services to the 1.2 million population of Hertfordshire. **What you’ll be responsible for**:
- Ensuring that all telephone calls are dealt with promptly and in a professional and confidential manner and to ensure all calls left on answerphone are returned promptly.
- Greet warmly and professionally any visitors to the Trust building ensuring that Security and Health and Safety requirements are complied with, and to direct them appropriately including highlighting their presence to the appropriate area/staff members.
- Ensuring the reception area is kept tidy and presentable
- Maintain the HCT Guest Wi-Fi system issuing user names and passwords and recording on the relevant database.
- Plan and organise bespoke office systems for Trust HQ including issuing parking permits and visitor ID badges.
**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:
- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous admin/ reception experience
- Previous NHS experience
