**The role**
As a Rail Safety Trainer / Assessor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll assist with the Management, Development, Delivery and Verification of a comprehensive Training and Competence assessment programme meeting the needs of the business.

Day to day, you’ll design and deliver appropriate, cost effective assessment, training and development solutions to meet the needs of the business, will be responsible for the delivery of Track Safety, On Track Plant (OTP), Permanent Way, Small Plant and other rail safety training and you will also ensure training and assessments are carried out in accordance with Sentinel Scheme rules, National Skills Academy Rail (NSAR) requirements and Network Rail standards
- Responsible for the delivery of Track Safety, Permanent Way, OTP and other rail safety training and assessment to industry standards
- Responsible for assisting with National Skills Academy Rail (NSAR) Training facility requirements in conjunction with Training & Competence Manager
- Design and deliver appropriate, cost effective assessment, training and development solutions to meet the needs of the business and respective divisions, in compliance with industry standards and legislative requirements
- Evaluate and respond to feedback in order to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of our products and services to encourage continuous improvement
- Assist in maintaining partnerships with our customers and suppliers, educational establishments, and professional bodies for our mutual benefit

This is a full time role based on site in Hamilton.

**Essential experience of the Rail Safety Trainer / Assessor**:

- Proven experience working in an On-Track environment

**Qualifications for the Rail Safety Trainer / Assessor**:

- Rail Industry recognised training qualification i.e. City & Guilds 7331 Certificate, Certificate In Training practice, Level 3 or Level 4 Training Qualification
- Rail Industry recognised assessor qualification i.e. A1/A2, Level 3 Certificate in Assessing in work environment
