A vacancy has arisen for a Technical Instructor in the Outpatient MSK Team at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, based in the Outpatients, Gymnasium and Hydrotherapy Pool at Pinderfields Hospital, with the potential to work as required on the Pontefract and Dewsbury sites.

The post holder will provide support and assistance to qualified therapy staff in the assessment and treatment of adult musculoskeletal patients in the gym (including rehabilitation classes) and hydrotherapy environments.

You will also have the opportunity to develop skills to enable to manage a small caseload of patients.

Good communication skills with patients / carers and the multi-disciplinary team are an integral part of the role.

You will be required to carry out some administrative / house-keeping duties to ensure the smooth running of the department.

You will need to be educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent, preferably in Health / Social care or equivalent, and have experience of working with the general public in any setting,

An ability to communicate empathetically and appropriately with patients of all levels of understanding, capability and background is essential.
