I am representing a client in Weybridge who are in the events and hospitality industry. They are needing a Purchase Ledger Manager who is either qualified by experience or part qualified.

They are needing someone to come in take ownership of the role, show confidence and build relationships with suppliers and the Ops team and chef. This is a SME but is a group of companies that all provide a valued piece to the jigsaw. This is an excitingand fun filled environment to work

**Systems used**: Xero and Excel - (Xero experience is desirable but good excel knowledge is essential. Knowing Pivot tables, vlookups and using it for statement reconciliations is a must).

You will not be looking after a team, but there will be a potential that you will be managing one person and reviewing their work down the line.

**Duties**:

- To receive and input invoices from suppliers and expense forms from staff
- Understand the chart of accounts to ensure accurate coding of invoices
- Managing invoices for 6 Brands within the Group
- To reconcile suppliers’ statements to purchase ledger
- To keep on top of approvers to ensure invoices are authorised with correct job code in a timely manner
- Work closely with chefs to ensure correct coding of invoices and efficient turnaround time of paying food invoices
- To prepare weekly and monthly BACS payment schedules for Finance Manager
- Reconcile credit card statements and payables bank accounts
- To prepare remittances as required
- To resolve invoice queries in liaison with suppliers, colleagues and customers
- Accruals and prepayments & journal posting, understanding of when invoices need to be put to accruals/prepayments and how to journal these transactions
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts for Fixed assets and Purchase Ledger
- To undertake any reasonable adhoc duties as requested
- Substantial knowledge & experience of the Purchase Ledger function
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and month end process
- Capable of developing operational measures of effectiveness and performance
- High attention to detail, ability to identify errors and find a solution
- Able to communicate to senior leaders within the business
- Can use own initiative to complete adhoc duties
- Good organisational skills, can self-plan day efficiently to meet deadlines
- Enthusiastic team player and good people skills, strong business partnering
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (High Level Excel Knowledge)
- Knowledge of Xero (ideal, not essential)
