**An excellent opportunity for an up and coming procurement professional to join a busy organisation as aPurchasing Specialist**

**Hybrid working - 2x days p/w in the office**

**Key Responsibilities of the Purchasing Specialist;**
- Manage Sourcing Enquiries and support tenders for stock lines in order to ensure competitiveness and maximise profitability
- Drive cost reductions through negotiating rebates, mitigating cost price increases, improving payment terms, etc.
- Minimise commercial risk by negotiating favourable contractual terms.
- Develop global supplier base to contribute to the global sourcing strategy.
- Ongoing review of new and emerging suppliers, competitors and market dynamics at global level.
- Develop supply chain to maintain availability and minimise supply problem issues.
- Proactively engage with internal stakeholders to source alternatives for new shortages.

**Personal Specification of the Purchasing Specialist;**
- Degree qualified or equivalent.
- Proven experience within Procurement / Purchasing / Sourcing
- Experience within a regulated FMCG or Pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Ability to operate well in a fast-paced environment.
