**Job summary**:
We are currently looking to recruit a G5 Business Support Officer to join our Forensic Management Unit (FMU).

Familiar in the administration and management of business management systems and the use of Microsoft office software. Able to support the administration of the Forensic outsource commercial position by recording and assuring key data relating to forensic service provider performance.

**Job description**:
The Forensic Management Unit (FMU), part of the NCA Forensic Services Department (FSD), provides both operational and business support functions to the department and wider organisation. The operational support team work collaboratively with FSD colleagues, and investigating teams, to ensure the provision, and delivery, of forensic analytical services in support of operational activity.

Forensic analytical services encompass disciplines such as digital forensics, DNA, drugs, fingerprints, firearms and questioned document examinations. The FSD has a number of commercially contracted service providers as well as in-house services that are provided by the department.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Provide support for the implementation and maintenance of Forensic quality standards across the NCA to ensure compliance with the Forensic Science Regulators (FSR) Codes of Practice and Conduct (CoP).
- The prioritisation and processing of approved forensic submission requests including the creation, assurance and recording of relevant authorisation and submission paperwork;
- The recording, assurance, review, and reporting of key data relating to authorised forensic submissions and forensic service provider performance;
- The provision of customer service and service delivery functions in support of forensic submission requests and service provider communications;
- Providing support to FSD managers and NCA Commercial regarding the delivery and management of external supplier contracts.
- Record and monitor corrective actions or non-compliance identified; supporting any investigations and actions where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies and partners, as appropriate, to facilitate forensic submissions and resolve issues as they arise.
