**Insurance Buildings Surveyor** **£35,000 - £44,000 pa**
**VARIOUS LOCATIONS INCLUDE **Scotland, Guilford, Chelmsford, Oxford, Southampton and Portsmouth.
Are you an experienced and detail-oriented professional seeking a rewarding career in the insurance industry? We are currently looking for an Insurance Buildings Surveyor to join our dynamic team. As an essential member of our team, you will play a vital role in assessing and evaluating buildings to determine insurance coverage and manage risk.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to assess their condition and determine their insurability.
- Identify potential risks, hazards, and maintenance issues that could impact coverage or result in future claims.
- Prepare detailed reports and documents outlining findings, including photographs and diagrams.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters, brokers, and underwriters to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
- Stay up to date with building codes, regulations, industry standards, and emerging trends in the field.
- Validate the accuracy of data provided by policyholders and investigate any discrepancies.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients and internal teams on risk management strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience as a Buildings Surveyor, preferably within the insurance or risk management industry.
- Solid understanding of building construction, materials, and structural integrity.
- Proficient in using surveying equipment, tools, and software systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating accurate reports and interacting with clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and reliability.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various locations for inspections.
