**About the role**:
Whilst completing a key worker role that includes working with of Adoption and SGO families with a range of needs and delivering and coordinating interventions directly to children/young people and their families; The role will also include a range of community based work, supporting support groups, delivering training and co-ordinating activities for children.

Early Help Workers work directly with parents and carers as well as children and young people on a one-to-one and group basis; using evidence-based interventions.

Early Help Workers in the Post adoption Support Team are also responsible for the completion of Post Adoption and SGO support assessments alongside qualified social workers and being Lead Professional for Team Around the Child cases to address the impact early child hood experiences of interrupted attachment and trauma

We have one 2 year fixed contact position available, full time, 5 days a week, the role is county wide but will be based from Lincoln. Flexible working with some working from home is available.

**About You**:
Knowledge and skills required (not exhaustive)
- Ability to advocate, negotiate and challenge on behalf of families in a variety of settings
- Ability to undertake family assessments, develop plans and deliver needs lead packages of support
- Ability to act as a Lead Professional for a family where appropriate with responsibility for the day to day implementation and coordination of the family plan
- To be a key team player and work closely with staff members and specialist workers from other agencies, local authorities and organisations
- The Postholder will require excellent written and oral communication to enable them to support and challenge both families and other professionals in order to achieve sustainable change

The post holder will be required to have a car and be able to travel and work in a timely and flexible manner to undertake the duties of the role. There is some element of evening and weekend work where cases require it.
