Leads and manages a team of payroll specialists, including providing direction and support and setting goals. Responsible for managing the monthly end to end payroll process globally. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll, including maintaining employee payroll records, processing pay adjustments, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations. Ensures HMRC submissions are submitted on time and are reconciled to payroll and HMRC records.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Overseeing and manage end-to-end payroll operations for multiple countries and regions - International payroll experience essential.
- Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and statutory contributions.
- Staying updated with global payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements for each jurisdiction.
- Managing the full employee payroll and benefit process from preparation, records maintenance, and monthly financial reporting.
- Contributing to the development of payroll function while collaborating with colleagues from across the globe.
- Managing both UK and International payroll and benefit transactional duties.
- Managing the compliance of all payrolls and benefits, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Managing and delivering accurate statutory filings and payments to third parties.
- Providing coaching, development and training to payroll and benefits teams, supporting ongoing professional development.
- Developing key working relationships and partnerships with third party vendors, supporting ongoing reviews of service provision.
- Performing periodic audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy of employee pay information.
- Designing and implementing process improvements and internal controls to the payroll process.

You’ll need to have:

- Experience managing a minimum of 10 overseas payrolls with expat and shadow payroll experience being essential.
- Ability to demonstrate the difference between shadow and local payroll have experience of multiple different payroll processing based on country.
- Strong management experience and be able to demonstrate competencies.
- Ability to work at a very fast and dynamic pace and show an aptitude for process improvements.
- Experience managing 3 or more team members and be able to work with other remote locations.
- Experience working on large payroll projects and moving payroll vendors on a global scale.
- Being hands on is essential in this role as is key technical experience in local jurisdiction filings and payments.
- Benefits administration and transaction experience.
- Overseeing and supporting team to deliver payrolls accurately and on time.
- Payroll and benefits compliance knowledge.
- Understand tax requirements for new jurisdictions, changes in wage and tax laws, and other regulatory changes and requirements that may impact payroll.
- Multiple country legislative knowledge.
- Experience in processing expatriate and shadow payrolls
- Implementation of new country payrolls.
- Payroll project management (or equivalent).
- Strong stakeholder management skills customer centric mindset.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Exercise the highest degree of confidentiality regarding all payroll information and employee privacy initiatives.
- Leadership experience in delivering high quality payrolls and meeting customer expectations.
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and delegate workload accordingly.
- Ability to multitask and work at pace - demonstrate experience of managing competing demands ensuring our processes are flawless, payrolls and benefits are processed accurately and on time.
- Demonstrate the ability to track, monitor compliance regulations per country.
