Peer Mentor

To improve the employability of people who are affected by mental health and Substance issues, to help them gain and obtain sustainably work based opportunities.
- Through the provision of asset-based employability mentoring.
- To help identify and define individual need in relation to the project outcomes.
- Support individuals with the development of personal action plans to achieve their aims and goals
- To assist individuals in the achievement of training, qualifications, volunteering, and employment.
- To work as part of the Out of Work Service Team ensuring success of the project.
- To liaise with other partners and local community to widen opportunities for those we work alongside
- To actively promote project, attend events show casing project, encouraging participation to the project across Gwent.

We work with people experiencing challenges with their mental health, and with communities who want to create a greater sense of wellbeing in the places that they live. Through our projects, we work with thousands of people each year.

We believe that long-lasting wellbeing comes about by understanding how lives can be shaped by traumatic experiences, identifying people’s strengths and focussing on healing. We know we can’t ‘fix’ people, but we can walk alongside people and help where we can on their journey.
