Experience and qualifications required:

- Office Management experience
- HR and/or H&S experience
- At least a grade C in Maths and English at GCSE/O level or equivalent
- A full driving licence and use of a car

You will also be polite, friendly, well-presented and professional, will remain calm under pressure, have a strong and committed work ethic, have a high degree of honesty and discretion, and be a team player with a flexible "can do" attitude. HR and/or H&Squalifications are preferred, but not essential.

**The role**

You will have sole responsibility for tasks such as opening up the office in the morning, reception duties, ensuring our remaining Covid Procedures are followed, doing daily H&S checks, liaising with Facilities to keep our offices safe and running smoothly,keeping the offices tidy, organising the logistics for our hybrid staff, purchasing stationery and other items, running errands, checking drivers' documentation, conducting DSE workstation checks, drafting H&S risk assessments, changing computer backups, organisingcomputer maintenance, authorising monthly expense claims, reconciling invoices, being both a First Aider and a Fire Marshal, and also managing the other First Aiders and Fire Marshals.

In addition, you will also assist one of the Directors with tasks such as recruiting and onboarding new employees, probationary periods, appraisals, managing staff absences, updating HR and H&S documentation, major IT works, and possibly even organisingan office move next year, with the hope that as you grow into the role you can take ownership of these responsibilities in time.

Although you will need to already have a certain level of Office Management, HR and/or H&S experience, and be very computer literate already, you will also be able to call upon our external HR and IT consultants for expert advice where necessary.

We are a small, friendly, fast-paced and innovative alcohol gifts company, based on Melbourn Science Park, which is between Cambridge and Royston, and has a cafeteria and free onsite parking.

Due to the nature of this role, this is an office-based position, with standard working hours being Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm, with an hour for lunch.

Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience, and we also operate a company pension scheme. An annual discretionary bonus may also be paid. Holiday entitlement starts at 28 days per annum including bank holidays, gradually rising to 33 days per annumincluding bank holidays after a period of service.
