**Job Title**:SPORTS CENTRE RECEPTIONIST**
**Location**:The Sports Centre, Sherborne School
**Reporting to**:Sports Centre Manager
**Hours of Work**:32.5hrs ** (6.5 hours per shift/day). Hours of work are to be between 7.00 am - 2.00 pm Monday to Friday, less 30 minute unpaid break. Flexibility in hours will be required on occasion to meet the demands of the post, to include mornings, evenings or weekends.
**Holidays**:You are entitled to 5 weeks paid holiday per year plus bank holidays. The holiday year runs from 1 July to 30 June.
**Remuneration**:You will be paid a salary of £18,421.00 (which equates to £10.90 per hour) Salaries will be paid monthly in arrears direct into your nominated bank account.
**Duties include**:
- Performing administration tasks for memberships: entering customer data into membership and booking systems and setting up different types of memberships.
- Making and handing out membership cards.
- Taking payments for various memberships, services and activities.
- Daily banking: checking cash, card and cheques are correct, banking cash, maintaining accurate records of payments.
- Updating monthly invoices.
- Printing out timetables, price lists and other information to promote the centre.
- Maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of the reception desk and reception area.
- To be aware of the Duty of Care to students at all times.
- The post holder must comply with School Policies and Procedures (to include the appropriate use of cleaning chemicals, incident and damage reporting, Equal Opportunities etc.)
- To perform duties in accordance with the School’s Health & Safety procedures, and to be aware of Health & Safety issues at all times.
- Training will be provided as appropriate on Sports Centre Membership bookings and software for the role.

**Qualifications/Experience/Personal Attributes required**:
- As first point of contact at Sports Centre, applicant must be presentable and approachable.
- Good interpersonal skills and confident in dealing with a wide variety of people.
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Ability to work well as a team member, as well as use initiative where required.
- The post holder will have an awareness of and display commitment to the relevant legislation and guidance in working practices in relation to the safeguarding of children and young people.
