The Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick is seeking an experienced **Maintenance Assistant** **-Full Time** to join our Maintenance team.

They will be responsible to maintain, repair services and equipment within the Hotel and grounds ensuring facilities are kept in operation and a safe working condition for our guests.

**As Maintenance Assistant your key responsibilities include**:

- To maintain and repair services and equipment within the Hotel and grounds
- To follow daily task list as issued by the Chief Engineer or Senior Shift Engineer
- Carry out maintenance request orders eg plumbing tasks, changing light bulbs, minor electricals
- To carry out PPM in all hotel areas, recognising faults and rectify them in a prompt and efficient manner
- Provide a friendly and professional service to all guests when around the public areas or in bedrooms
- Is responsible for the care and cleanliness of the Hotel engineering areas allocated i.e. workshop, plantrooms etc.
- To ensure compliance with relevant and current legislation at all times whilst at work eg Health & Safety Policy, Fire Regulations

**As Maintenance Assistant the essential skills required**:

- Plumbing and electrical skills advantageous
- Keen eye for detail and able to work alone.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace
- A team player who can manage own workload
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends.

The Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick is a charming 16th century farmhouse surrounded by landscaped gardens and tranquil woodlands. With easy access to Gatwick International Airport and a 30 minute journey from central London, the hotel is popular with leisure and business travelers alike.

The hotel offers comfortable guest rooms that come complete with all the comforts of home and feature internet access, tea and coffee making facilities and an iron and ironing board. Dining facilities include The Brasserie, which offers a buffet style menu and the Lion D’Or Restaurant, which offers a traditional British menu.
