**Casual Civic Attendant**:
To ensure that the Lord Mayor, Sheriff, and the Deputy Lord Mayor and their Consorts arrive at engagements on time, safely, in the correct attire and chain and with the correct information to enable them to carry out all aspects of the event including advice on protocol and speeches. To ensure the safety of the civic heads during the engagement.

A vacancy has arisen for Civic Attendant to directly support the Lord Mayor, Sheriff and Deputy Lord Mayor of Chester and provide support to the wider civic function of the City of Chester and Chester Town Hall. The Civic Attendant will be required to drive civic heads to their engagements, ensuring their safety and that they have all the information they require. This is a busy service and outwardly focused, so a strong customer focused approach is essential, as is teamwork and attention to detail. The ability to offer clear and unbiased professional advice and to be tactful and diplomatic is also important. Training on all aspects of the roles will be provided.

This role is casual, and the numbers of hours worked each week will vary and there will be a requirement to work outside normal office hours, including regular weekend and evening work. The service demands are seasonal and will fluctuate throughout the year.
