**Summary**:
Working closely with the Head of Commercial, you will provide support whilst developing an understanding of our product range and strategy, playing a valuable part in achieving our business goals and objectives by working with many departments to provide them with pricing information and support.

Whilst building a commercial knowledge of the destinations you are working with, you’ll play a key supporting role in the day-to-day management of our pricing content for both web and print; and build an awareness of the competitive environment we operate within.

The Commercial Executive role provides a fantastic opportunity to join the Commercial department and by showing initiative and drive, there may be opportunities to get involved in further aspects of commercial performance management in addition to the core responsibilities of this role.

**What You Will Be Doing**:

- Cooperate with other departments to effectively communicate offers and encourage feedback. Ensure the offers are relevant to customer demand and needs of marketing campaigns. Create new deals pages on our websites and maintain regular monitoring of them
- Incorporating the website into everyday thinking and ensure it is reflective of current activity and always showcasing brand values
- Carrying out regular competitor analysis to benchmark ourselves against other tour operators
- Tracking sales and margin performance by having awareness of our targets, suggesting actions to maximise opportunities
- Monitoring rate of sale, customer search demand, and bed availability to ensure additional allocation is requested where required
- Assisting with the pricing process including creation of mark-ups, year-on-year cost analysis and generating prices for brochures and tactical campaigns
- Being a point of contact for other departments and providing them commercial information and suggestions. Answering price query calls and messages from the sales team, and identify and eliminate barriers to sale and assist with growing conversion wherever possible
- Using internal BI platforms to analyse sales and inform commercial decision-making
- Handling all price loading and price changes in relevant systems
- Reviewing margins and margin dilution issues taking appropriate action to correct
- Communicating special inventory requests to Inventory Executives
- Providing support on key commercial projects and producing ad hoc reports as required

**What We Are Looking For**:

- Experience of working in a commercial role, ideally within the travel industry
- Highly numerate, with strong commercial and organisational skills and have good attention to detail
- Applicants should demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in their work, have a commercial focus, be capable of making recommendations, taking decisions and possess good analytical skills
- Ability to handle their workload effectively, be well organised, flexible, resolve priorities, act on their own initiative as well as being a standout colleague and effective communicator with strong influencing skills
- Highly flexible, driven, and motivated with strong communication skills as the role is key in working with other internal departments
- Ability to identify and create sales/margin opportunities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet target dates, this may involve working additional hours at peak times
- Confidence in handling and loading offers on a live website
- Knowledge of Travelink (or a related tour operations selling system) plus Microsoft Excel and Word to an intermediate standard. General ability to learn and use multiple systems to carry out the role successfully
- Knowledge of a CMS platform, Sitecore, preferred but not required
- A good understanding of Power BI Reporting or a similar BI reporting system would be an advantage
