Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board runs a Fit Testing Programme to support our compliance with Health & Safety requirements for the provision of PPE for staff who may require it in the course of their roles. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic the need for fit testing has increased significantly and as a result, an increase in resources is required to support the continued delivery of the programme.

Full training will be available to the successful applicant. Travelling between sites is essential for this role

To plan, demonstrate and deliver Fit Test training to staff of all designations.

Coordinate Fit Testing across the relevant sites to manage capacity and demand.

Support the Fit Testing Advisor in the production of Fit Testing Performance and Annual Reports and other documents including the recording of fit testing records onto the Health Board’s ESR system and the collating and formatting of materials.

To oversee the Fit Testing equipment and consumables to ensure adequate provision to undertake testing and to liaise with procurement in regards to equipment as required e.g. to ensure adequate supplies, maintenance etc.

To demonstrate professionalism at all times when dealing with people.

To attend meetings as required or to provide information to the Corporate Health & Safety Lead in order to support the Fit Testing Reporting Process.

To support divisional fit testers and to ensure continuity of standards for training and compliance and to maintain contemporary master copies of all training programmes for which the post holder has responsibility.

Attend relevant meetings to take notes/minutes and typing up of these before distribution.

Supporting and Corporate Health and Safety team with admin tasks including reports that are required quarterly and annually.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
