Everyone plays their part to prevent child abuse.
Every child is safe online.
Children feel safe, listened to and supported.

Local Services brings together our work in schools, local campaigning and our direct services across 9 regions and nations. The North West Schools Service team plays an integral part of our mission as it's responsible for delivering the schools offer.

Do you have experience of delivering programmes in an educational or safeguarding setting?
Have you recent experience of following safeguarding procedures?
Do you have well-developed stakeholder relationship management skills?
Have you enjoyed working with diverse groups of people?
Do you have relevant volunteer recruitment, management and supervision experience?
Have you experience of working towards and meeting set targets/KPIs?
Would you work well as part of a remote team?

Reporting to the North West Schools Manager, the South Greater Manchester Schools Coordinator will engage with primary schools to book the delivery of the virtual Speak out stay safe programme. The role will also ensure we have sufficient bookings in South Manchester for the delivery of our workshops (ages 9-11 year olds initially, introducing workshops for 5- year olds in autumn), where the majority of our volunteers are based. Due to staff changes recently the focus will be in Trafford, Salford and Warrington initially. We are undergoing a volunteer recruitment campaign therefore a peripatetic resource is required to ensure we have a schools co-ordinator who can train and supervise newly recruited volunteers in and around the South Manchester areas.

**In addition the role will**:
engage with non-mainstream settings to offer our broader SEND programme
be the single point of contact for secondary schools within the designated area
work to set targets and objectives
be responsible for building and maintaining internal and external relationships
recruit, train and retain new or existing volunteers providing ongoing development
maximise opportunities and partnership working
be confident in presenting to stakeholders, such as local authorities and senior school leaders
represent Local Services and NSPCC Schools Service in the public forum
be an active contributor to internal projects and workstreams

As a member of our team, our organisational values and behaviours would be important to you. We want someone who will take a child-centred approach, has a strong belief in the rights of children, and has a clear understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of life and practice.
