The post holder works within the property and Support Services Department which provides a comprehensive professional and technical service across NHSL. To maximise the efficiency and quality of the mechanical, electrical and environmental services for NHSL. You will undertake work to rectify minor faults in the building services plant and mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment, you will also contribute to the department’s responsibility to implement all statutory and legislative requirements in relation to the Environmental aspects of NHSL’s properties.

**KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB**
- Experience of working in an estates maintenance environment.
- Certificate of competence for Portable appliance testing C&G 23377/002 or equivalent competence.
- Operate and understand the safe use of hand tools.
- Driving Licence.
- I.T. keyboard skills to allow manipulation of building management systems alarms on boilers, etc.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience of working in an estates maintenance environment working with mínimal supervision demonstrating a basic knowledge of workshop safety practices.
- Knowledge of planned maintenance of Mechanical and Electrical services.

Show flexibility in start/finish time and where required to work shifts / on-call rota.

Shift Pattern - Monday to Thursday 08:30 am to 5pm, Friday 08:30am to 2:30pm
