As the Executive Housekeeper you will be responsible of leading the housekeeping team and being a key member of the Hotel’s Management team. You will display a proactive and innovative approach to skill development and enhancement in your team while accurately assessing needs of the business in terms of staffing and ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained and monitored throughout the hotel. Finally, you will co-ordinate constructively with both reception and reservations so that the day-to-day operational requirements are successfully delivered.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team within the Housekeeping department as Head Housekeeper.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- To ensure that all guest rooms and public areas for which you are responsible for are maintained to company standards
- To oversee the preparation of room list for Room Attendants and fairly allocate the work load to staff
- To oversee that the Floor Housekeepers check all rooms to the required company standard-carry out daily spot checks on the Floor Housekeepers standards
- To check all VIP rooms as directed by Housekeeping Management
- To check all corridors are cleaned to the standards required
- To note any faults/repair work that needs attention and to ensure the relevant departments are informed and follow up that the work is carried out
- To ensure all the Floor Housekeepers, room attendants and floor porters staff turn up for work on time and are properly dressed to the company standard.
- To ensure clear and accurate communication between the Floor Housekeepers and Reception department
- To liaise with reception on information regarding room status and any special requirements. E.g. Twin Beds, Special Amenities in room on arrival
- To oversee the communication with the guest services to ensure VIP procedures are maintained in a consistent manner
- To ensure service areas are always clean and tidy and are properly stocked for guest rooms E.g. soap, linen, etc
- To liaise with the linen supervisor on linen supply or quality issues
- To note any items of lost property are stored safely and recorded clearly. Valuables must be handed to security
- To supervise the Floor Housekeepers and room attendants on the floor allocated to ensure the highest standards are maintained
- To be vigilant at all times and report to Management any incidents of a suspicious nature
- To identify training needs of the floor service and liaise with the department trainer to address these
- To be aware of all guest arrival requirements and ensure rooms prepared on time and with all VIP amenities
- To ensure all duties are finished and complete to the standards required before going off duty and attending the housekeeper hand over meeting. E.g. rooms ready with correct bedding and VIP amenities
- To be advised of rota changes made in relation to business needs
- To ensure keys are always safe and secure at all times. They must be signed in and out and returned to the housekeepers’ office at the ends of the shift
- To ensure the correct and safe use and care of communications and computer equipment

**ENTRY REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant experience in a 4* property is desirable
- Excellent customer service skills
- Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
- Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
- Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
