Hough Green Garage Ltd are looking to recruit a maintenance operative / handyperson, who has the relevant experience in looking after day-to-day repairs. Hough Green Garage is a family-owned business with 13 depots covering the northwest, The successful applicant will be based out of our Head Office in Widnes.

In this role, your main responsibilities will involve promptly addressing reactive repairs in our premises. Our aim is to achieve a first-time fix while upholding superior workmanship standards. You’ll navigate through individual tasks efficiently.

Hourly rate is dependent on work experience and qualifications.

**Duties**:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing and general maintenance tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of common areas, including hallways, stairwells, and storage yards.
- Assist with the supervision of maintenance staff and contractors.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants by addressing their concerns and resolving any maintenance-related issues.

**Requirements**:

- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work alone or in a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Previous experience in a maintenance role preferred.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £22,000.00 per year
