Blue Diamond are manufacturers and distributors of floor safety and matting products, based in Hatton AB42 0RX. This warehouse operative role will be part of a busy team that picks, packs and despatches order. The warehouse operative role is suited to applicants who have a strong ethos of continuous improvement, cleanliness as well as an inherent desire and ability to meet deadlines under constant pressure.

**_Job Responsibilities:_**

Responsibility for ensuring that goods are picked, packed and despatched in a timely and accurate manner, and that the work area is maintained in a clean, orderly and accurate state. Carry out other duties as required, including assisting team members as required.

Working hours are 07:00 - 17:00.

**_Job Duties:_**

Carry out as required:

- Manage Despatch screen on the business system and process orders to be shipped
- Print picking, packing and despatch paperwork, and shipping labels
- Pick the goods required for each order, ensuring correct items are located
- Pack the goods in to relevant and appropriate packaging and ensure they are safe and secure for transport
- At all times keep the work are clear, clean, and tidy, ensuring that items are out away in a timely manner
- Using cutting equipment and other machinery to cut and finish products as required
- Move product around warehouse, operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Equipment that may be utilised include forklifts and pallet trolleys.
- Packaging of products/finished goods/materials.
- Using machinery to cut and finish products.
- Learns, understands and complies with all company policies. Adheres to all safety Company procedures in the performance of job duties.
- Prepare shipments, schedule carriers, and provides proper shipping documents for customs clearance.
- Ensures material handling in accordance with general warehouse best practices.
- At all times work to priorities as set out by management, upholding the Customer First approach
- Ensures compliance with all Health and Safety policies.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.

**_Skills and Qualifications:_**

Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, Planning, Time Management, Reporting Skills, Inventory Control, Documentation Skills, Data Entry Skills, Dependability, Supervision, Forklift experience and current licence is preferred but not essential.
