Head of Product Regulatory Compliance

**Job Title: Head of Product Regulatory Compliance**
**Salary Range: £75,000 - £85,000 p.a.**
**The role**:
You will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with product regulations and standards our multinational manufacturing and engineering Group. You will establish and guide the Group compliance forum, interpreting regulations, conducting risk assessments, and implementing strategies to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance across multiple markets and businesses. We’d like you to have extensive regulatory compliance experience, industry knowledge, leadership skills, and a global perspective.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Maintain broad appreciation of global, regional, and local product regulations and standards, and interpret their implications for the organization.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance requirements to the different business divisions.
- Oversee the development and execution of compliance training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements and promote a culture of compliance.
- Engage with regulatory authorities, industry groups, and certification bodies to stay informed about emerging regulations and industry best practices.
- Investigate compliance incidents, implement corrective actions, and develop preventive measures to avoid future non-compliance.
- Establish and enforce compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adherence to applicable regulations and standards.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and report on the effectiveness of compliance programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with international business teams to address compliance-related issues, deal with regulatory inquiries, and manage regulatory relationships.
- Stay informed about advancements in technology and automation tools that can enhance compliance management processes.
- Support Business level responses to key customer requests on Product Compliance.
**Your experience**:
Proven experience in regulatory compliance roles with an understanding of product regulations and compliance requirements in the manufacturing industry, and extensive knowledge of global, regional, and local product regulations, standards, and industry-specific compliance frameworks. Including but not limited to:
- Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH),
- Per
- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)
- Toxic Substances Control Act. (TSCA)
- California Proposition 65
- Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS)Y
You will also be familiar with quality management systems, industry certifications and auditing processes.
**Your skills**:
You hold strong leadership and management skills displayed through your team, providing guidance, and driving results. You are logical and use your problem-solving abilities to interpret complex regulations and conduct robust risk assessments. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, multinational environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You are a clear and concise communicator, negotiator and can build relationships with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
