**Location**: Liverpool (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a Junior VFX Artist to work with our experienced team on an exciting new console title.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with the art team to create and author beautiful and efficient particle VFX.
- Create textures in software packages such as Photoshop and Substance.
- Create 3D models, animations and simulations where necessary in Maya or equivalent.
- Review and implement feedback from Directors.

**Required experience**
- Experience of using 3rd party engines such as Unreal Engine.
- A good knowledge of 3D art tools such as 3ds Maya or Max and 2D Art tools such as Photoshop.
- Ability to work in collaboration with designers, coders, tech artists and art directors.
- A basic understanding of shaders.
- A basic understanding of particle effects.
- Good communication and problem solving skills.

**Desired experience**
- Experience working with UE5 VFX systems, such as Niagara.
- Knowledge of Houdini to generate assets for realtime VFX.

**Important**

The interview process for the VFX Artist role is made up of 2 stages:

- First interview (45 minutes) - An informal chat to discuss your experience and working history relating to the position with members of our VFX team. In return, we will provide a full overview of the role, life at the studio as well as answer any questions you may have.
- Final interview (30 minutes) - A final Interview with our Studio Head and Studio Production Director. This will be a chance for you to get to know the Senior Management team and all the things that make Lucid, Lucid You will have a lot of opportunities to ask any questions about the studio and Culture.
