Game Development Specialist

Climax Studios is a leading game development studio in Liverpool, UK, known for creating innovative and immersive gaming experiences. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Artist to join our team.
Job Overview
We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including excellent holiday package, regular social events, and ongoing training and development opportunities.
About the Role
- This role involves integrating and contributing to the team creating innovative experiences, supporting the team with in-depth shader and post-process knowledge.
- Strong and versatile Rigging and Skinning skills are essential, as well as troubleshooting art pipeline and providing solutions.
- Ongoing material shaders and blueprints creation and optimization are also key responsibilities.
- The successful candidate will work closely with the code and art teams, critique and iterate in a group, and reliably demonstrate an aptitude for platform technology, asset discipline, and pipeline processes.
Requirements
- At least two years' experience in a similar role, with strong and versatile VFX skills.
- Experience with VR, Unreal, Maya, and Blueprint is necessary.
- A creative and self-motivated individual with an artistic education to at least graduate level is required.
- A strong folio including examples of shader work is essential.
