**Position: Full-time Visual Media Arts Cover Supervisor**
**Times: 8.15am - 3.30pm; Mon - Fri**
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide cover lessons for absent teachers in Art, Film, Media Studies, and Photography, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students' engagement and progress.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a positive and inspiring environment for artistic expression.
- Support students in developing their technical skills, critical thinking, and creativity.
- Collaborate with the Arts department to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of resources for visual media arts lessons.
- Although based in the Visual Arts department, all cover supervisors are expected to cover across the whole school depending on the needs on the day
**Requirements**:
- A genuine passion for the visual arts, film, media studies, and photography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students effectively.
- Experience working with secondary school students, preferably in an arts education capacity.
- Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow instructions.
