Trainee Business Administrator

Purpose of the job
In the role you will gain valuable experience as you shadow colleagues and over time take on more responsibility. In this role, you will be undertaking the Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveyor Technician apprenticeship and will be studying at university 1 day/week and be on site the other 4 days a week.
**Responsibilities**:
The Trainee Business Administrator will be responsible for:
- Greeting and meeting with visitors in a professional, courteous and friendly manner
- Booking of rooms/venues for team members and visitors
- Maintaining a consistently professional service to all colleagues based within the office
- Be the first point of contact for all queries on project and connect to appropriate people and departments
- Schedule meetings as appropriate
- General administration duties, such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and scanning as required
- To ensure the office spaces are always kept clean and tidy
- To fulfil Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) responsibilities by adhering to the Company’s SHEQ Policy and Management Plans
- To comply with all Company’s Policies and Procedures
- To undertake other such reasonable duties appropriate to the role
- Develop an understanding of the designated contract specification and pricing ensuring compliance and conditions throughout
Skills & Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Outlook and Word
- Professional, customer service orientated approach
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work
- Attention to detail for maintaining records and ensuring that the best customer service is provided
