**Meet the person you'll be supporting**
- **Who am I and what challenges do I have? **I am a gentleman in my 50s. I have cerebral palsy, which affects my mobility. I use an electric wheelchair to help me move around.
- **What types of people do I get along with? **People who encourage my hobbies and interests, and might be interested in getting involved with them. I do also like my own space sometimes, but will always communicate this clearly. Once I get on with someone, the days can fly by, so I would like if me and my staff team can work towards this.
- **What are my interests? **I love making homemade, tasty food and would like to diversify my cooking skills and knowledge. I would love staff to get involved with this and help me with it. I play chess, board games and like to challenge myself with these. I like to chat and discuss things and have an open and curious mind.
- **How would I describe myself?** Outgoing, easy to get along with, and open to all people. I am welcoming, and a good communicator, and this means I can form positive relationships with the people who work with me.
- **What activities do I do? **I have been spending a lot of time indoors and would like to get out more: I have a Motability Minivan that I use to do this. I would like to visit sports events (golf, cricket and snooker in particular), music concerts, and be more sociable with family and friends.

**Key things to consider when applying**:

- Being a confident driver with a clean driving license is essential.
- Applications with limited experience will be considered, as this role is equally about personality and values.
- This role involves supporting on a 1:1 basis, and the shifts are long days.
