**Job Opportunity**

We have an opportunity to join our team as a General Ledger Associate You will be responsible for responsible for the processing of TSS customs declarations for Northern Ireland goods movements. Additional duties include supporting the General Ledger team and other Shared Services teams administrative requirements as needed. Where required the General Ledger Associate will also provide excellent customer service to Samworth Brothers customer sites, suppliers, and any other 3rd parties such as external auditors and HMRC. Some of the duties will include:

- Processing of TSS customs declarations for Northern Ireland & related responsibilities such as resolution of queries
- Assist with the audit process for Shared Services, working with GL colleagues & auditors on any specific queries
- Support other Shared Services teams with specific finance queries
- Ad-hoc administrative and finance tasks as requested

**The Right Person**

You will be someone who is self-motivated and focussed on the customer. You will demonstrate initiative and ownership. You value others and their contribution and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues. You will be flexible and adaptable to change. In addition, you will have the following skills:

- 5 GCSEs (Maths & English minimum B grade) / A Levels (desirable)
- Previous experience of working within a fast-paced finance team
- Previous experience of using / interrogating financial software and systems (desirable)
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook & Teams
