Western Mechanical Handling UK Ltd is a successful, well established family engineering business based in Callington, Cornwall and specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke production and process equipment used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

**Role Summary**

We are looking to recruit an additional member of staff who will be reporting to the Financial Controller. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for ensuring an efficient accounts function.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Generate and send invoices to customers promptly.
- Raising sales order and delivery notes
- Liaise with Project Managers and Sales to ensure costs/revenue on projects are correctly recorded.
- Monthly statements and credit control
- Deal with any account/billing queries from suppliers and customers
- Answer telephones and providing point of contact to guests
- Provide support for the purchase ledger
- Provide support and assistance to the Financial Controller
- Ad hoc. accounts related duties

**Qualifications/Skills required for the role**

High attention to detail

Ability to work to deadlines

Intermediate Excel skills

Proactive, organised and motivated

Able to work within a fast-pace and high-volume environment

Excellent organisational and communication skills - written and verbal

A strong team player who is able to engage with other members of staff

Advantageous but not essential
- Experience working in an Accounts/Finance role

Experience of Sage 200 and Sage 50 would be beneficial
