Quality Officer

Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Officer to join a growing testing business in Flintshire. There is a relatively small team of 9 with large plans to expand over the near future. For this role, our client is looking for someone with experience of managing an ISO 17025 QMS and have previous experience of UKAS audits.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for ensuring all laboratory operations are met to the highest standards in accordance with industry regulations and guidelines.
- Responsible for manging the ISO 17025 QMS and ensure that the laboratory QMS and accreditations are maintained with industry practise.
- Oversea all quality control related activities, SOPs, risk assessments and equipment servicing and ensuring that they are reviewed and maintained when necessary.
- Ensure delivery of all internal and external audits to ISO 17025 standards, liaising with key individuals in the business.
- Plan, conduct and ensure the delivery of internal audit programmes.
- Ensure the audit findings are investigated and the responses are submitted so that the findings are delivered on time.
- Prepare, review, and implement inspections and test plans on equipment and submit accurate and concise reports on all projects assigned.
- Maintain and coordinate calibration testing - log and ensure delivery of external calibration of equipment whilst minimising the impact on the testing schedule.
- Review and understand calibration procedures for testing standards.
- Support and implement protocols for root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support and assist quality complaints.
- When required undertake travel in the UK and internationally.

**The Person**
- Previous laboratory experience
- Previous experience of managing ISO 17025 QMS
- Experience of UKAS audits (internal & external)
- Need to be assertive and confident to ensure that accreditation requirements are met.
- Experience of dealing with complaints, root cause analysis, CAPAS, calibration and troubleshooting.
- Confidence to provide evidence-based decision making.
- Self-motivated
