Lead the development of software systems, links between software systems, configuration of software systems or the retrieval of data from software systems. This will include the capture of business requirements, and understanding of broader process changethe code enables sometimes without active input from dedicated Business Analysts.

**Key Accountabilities:**
- Work directly with business stakeholders to define and understand business requirements and support that requirement definition with deep understanding of technical feasibility.
- Provide technical leadership to peers and junior colleagues (Developers) and take an active role in their development, including the sharing of knowledge, peer reviewing code, and directly supporting with technical challenges.
- Carry out programmes of system development work on projects in order to implement the business specification
- Investigate and remedy support tickets relating to software systems defined within the Service Catalogue
- Specify the design of software information subsystems to meet defined business needs including the design and selection of COTS components
- Specify the design, implementation and maintenance mechanisms for storage to both structured and unstructured information in support of business information needs
- Create, test and document new and amended programs from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standards
- Plan, design, manage, execute and report tests to ensure that new and amended systems, configurations, packages or services perform as specified

**What we’re looking for**
**Skills, Knowledge & Experience**:

- Degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field
- Demonstrable experience working in a similar Developer role in a centralised Group IT function
- Experience of working within a manufacturing and logistics, preferably developed in the food or consumer products sectors
- Experience of working with third party vendors and delivering solutions with significant COTS integration and configuration
- Able to create strong outcomes where requirement ambiguity exists
