Band 6 Respiratory Clinician
**Location**:Bristol
**Contract Type**:Permanent
**Hours**:Full time and part time shifts available
**Salary**:£35,392-£42,618 per annum, dependent on experience
Do you want to be part of a new, emerging service who are passionate about preventing hospital admissions, supporting early hospital discharges and delivering personalised care in the comfort of people’s homes?
As a team we are blending medical innovation with bespoke care, bridging the gap between hospital and home. A virtual ward is a safe and efficient alternative to NHS bedded care that is enabled by technology and home visits. The innovative approach enables us to deliver safe, high quality and personalised care to people at home where they would rather be.
We know that people recover faster and better in their own environments and our dedicated teams of trained staff endeavour to support this. A hybrid model of virtual, telephone and face to face consultations can be delivered as required, allowing patients to recover in their own home with continued clinical support.
**What will you be doing?**
As a Respiratory Clinician, you will provide clinical expertise and support in the delivery of existing community respiratory services. This will include the Community Home Oxygen Service and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, as well as specialist advice and guidance directly to clinicians within Sirona, Primary Care and external partners. This post offers a high level of professional support, with a strong focus on professional development.
The Respiratory team provides care across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset, therefore you must be adaptable to the needs of the service and staff across the BNSSG area. The community respiratory team currently provides a 7-day service including weekends and bank holiday cover.
**Your duties will include**:
- Undertaking expert specialist respiratory assessment of service users, including those with complex presentation, to formulate individualised management and treatment plans using evidence based clinical reasoning skills and utilising a wide range of treatment skills and options
- Performing specialist respiratory assessments
- Working with service users and their carers towards shared goals, providing advice and support
- Providing education and advice to enable self-management and prevent unnecessary hospital admissions
**What do you need?**
- Degree level qualification in nursing
- Current NMC registration and HCPC registration
- Full driving licence and access to car in work time
