Job description

The Governance Professional will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of governance effectiveness and compliance within the Trust, ensuring governance adheres to good practice and meets all statutory and regulatory requirements. The Governance Professional is both a strategic and operational position at the heart of governance operations of the Trust. There are three core purposes, as follows:

- Co-ordination of all tiers of governance and stakeholder engagement, including liaison with third-party clerks,
- Developing the Trust’s governance framework, scheme of delegation and policy cycle; and
- Co-ordination of the assurance cycle.

Working Days can be worked flexibly. We have 5 evening Board meetings per year and 1 away day that you would be required to attend. Dates are planned in advance. We are open to discussion around how you work the 21 hours so please get in touch if you would like to discuss this.
